'Witch City' of Salem Kicks Off Halloween Season With Parade

Salem’s popular Haunted Happenings Grand Parade made a return on October 3, officially kicking off the city’s Halloween season.

Salem, famously associated with the infamous witch trials of 1692, has been holding a Haunted Happenings Festival since the Halloween of 1982, and it’s been growing since, organizers said.
