Wolf to take over for Howell

Feb. 9—235th District Judge Janelle M. Haverkamp and Cooke County Court at Law Judge John Morris have appointed Scott W. Wolf to be Director of the Cooke County Community Supervision and Corrections Department.

Wolf graduated from Gainesville High School, Cooke County College, and the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He has worked with the Cooke County Community Supervision and Corrections Department since 2009.

He and his wife have been married 20 years and have four children. They are active with several local community groups, including the Boy Scouts of America. He succeeds Christopher Howell, who retired in December after 29 years with the department.

"After working with Scott as a Probation Officer in my Court these last 15 years, I am confident we made the best choice for Cooke County. Scott is an honorable man of character with a strong work ethic. He will be an excellent leader for the future of the Cooke County Community Supervision and Corrections Department," Haverkamp stated in a press release.
