Match of the Day pundit Ashley Williams said Aston Villa's quality told in the second half of their Premier League clash with Wolves on Saturday.

Villa ran out 3-1 winners, but had to come from behind to claim their fourth victory in five league games. Wolves attacker Matheus Cunha put the visitors ahead by making the most of Diego Carlos' misplaced pass on the edge of the box.

Ollie Watkins put Villa back on level terms in the second period, before Ezri Konsa completed the comeback in the 88th minute. There was enough time for Jhon Duran to bag his fourth goal of the season in added time as he tapped in Morgan Rogers' cross.

"Wolves lost in key moments in the second half and Aston Villa upped their levels with the quality they have," Williams said on MOTD. "They had desire to win their individual duels and their personal battles.

"They were flat in the first half, that might be because of the week which they have had. But Wolves couldn’t live with it when Villa upped their levels.

"Morgan Rogers has had an excellent start to the season and Duran came off the bench was brilliant. They came back in the game from a great finish from Watkins and then Villa have the set-piece coach [Austin MacPhee], we know they work hard on it.

"As soon as Tieelmans gets the ball out of his feet, that was Konsa’s cue, does he want it a little bit more? Yes he does. Konsa showed real good desire to get a goal there.

"Rogers and Tielemans were excellent in the second half. It was a good run from Rogers [for the third goal] and he had the quality to set up his mate Duran. It looks like an easy ball, but we see those get messed up every week."
