Woman attacked in broad daylight at Harwich seaside as police launch manhunt

A woman was reportedly assaulted in Harwich in broad daylight earlier this year and police have now launched a hunt to find a man they wish to speak to. The woman was allegedly attacked in Harwich Esplanade at around 7.20pm on August 18 this year.

She suffered injuries which are thankfully, not life-threatening or life-changing. As a result, Essex Police have today (November 7) launched a hunt to find a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident who they believe can help with the investigation.


A spokesperson for Essex Police commented “We want to speak to this man in connection with an incident in Harwich. It was reported a woman was assaulted, suffering injuries which are not life-threatening or life-changing, in the area of Harwich Esplanade. This took place at around 7.20pm on Friday August 18.

“As part of our ongoing investigation, we are in a position to release an image of a man we would like to speak to. If you recognise him, or have any information which could assist us, please get in touch. Please quote incident 1044 of August 18.”
