Woman attacked by group in terrifying daylight Nottingham city centre robbery
A woman was reportedly attacked by a group of youths in a broad daylight robbery by Nottingham Canal. The victim, in her 40s, was attacked along the towpath behind Nottingham Crown Court at around 8am on Tuesday, January 28.
Money was snatched from her and she suffered an injury to her leg, Nottinghamshire Police said. East Midlands Ambulance Service were called but the woman declined any treatment.
A cordon was in place on the path between Trent Street and Carrington Street on Tuesday morning, including an area under the bridge near Nottingham Magistrates' Court, and has since been removed.

A police spokesperson said: "We are carrying out a thorough investigation to determine what has happened. Anyone with information or saw what happened is being asked to call 101 quoting incident number 0104 of the 28 January 2025 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
