Woman 'attacked with wrench by white van man' in Staffordshire road rage row

Police are are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked with a wrench during a road rage incident in Staffordshire. And the row on Cannock's Brownhills Road left the woman in hospital.

Now officers have issued of the white van-driving suspect. The incident occurred just before 7pm on May 9.

As a result of the attack the woman was taken to hospital before being discharged. A spokeswoman for the force said: "We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Cannock.

"We received a call shortly to reports that a woman had been assaulted by a man with a wrench on Brownhills Road following a road rage incident."

Officers say the man is described as being of a large build, with short brown hair and about 30 years old. He was wearing a grey jumper and driving a white van.

The victim went to hospital following the incident but was discharged later that day. The force spokeswoman added: "We are keen to speak to people who may have witnessed the incident or those with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of the area at the time to get in touch."
