Woman burst into tears outside takeaway after what this man did to her
A woman's night out ended in tears when she was sexually assaulted outside a takeaway. Jason Singh was arrested in Concert Square for slapping the complete stranger on the backside, leaving her "shocked, distressed and humiliated".
It came after the dad brandished a machete during a fight which saw his girlfriend square off with two other women outside a block of flats. This "warped attempt to protect his partner" was apparently set against the background of an ongoing feud which had seen him attacked and left requiring plastic surgery previously.
Liverpool Crown Court heard this afternoon, Friday, that the victim of Singh's sexual assault was drinking in Liverpool city centre with her boyfriend and other friends in October this year before their group went to Harper's Pizza on Slater Street shortly before 2am. They were standing on the pavement outside the premises when she was slapped on the backside.

Paul Becker, prosecuting, described how she then confronted Singh, who remained silent and walked away when she asked him "did you just slap my f***ing a**e?". She burst into tears before the 36-year-old, of Upper Warwick Street in Toxteth, was detained by police in Concert Square.
It followed an incident on August 7 this year, during which his partner was involved in fighting with two other women outside a block of flats on North Drive in Wavertree. In mobile phone footage recorded from a nearby window, Singh was seen to emerge from an apartment wielding a machete after his girlfriend had been dragged to the floor by her assailants.
He has no previous convictions for sexual offences, but was handed a four-month imprisonment suspended for 18 months in August last year for possession of a bladed article in a public place. Peter White, defending, told the court of the assault: "Mr Singh appreciates the effect that this has had on the victim.
"Alcohol is a major factor in his life. When he is in drink, unfortunately he acts in a certain way. That is what happened on this occasion. He can only apologise to his victim."
Turning to the machete incident, Mr White added: "We see his partner on the floor getting her hair pulled. Mr Singh, in a somewhat warped attempt to protect his partner, comes downstairs armed.
"We see a gentleman run up to Mr Singh and punch him, but he would not appear to retaliate. There was, shortly before this offence, a previous incident. He himself had been assaulted and he required plastic surgery to his head. There was something of a background.
"He tells me that this is the longest he has been sober for a long time. He wants to be there for his children. There is a different side to him. He is capable of being a parent, he just needs to realise that he needs to be sober to be there for his children.
"He was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and engaging with his church. He tells me he has been given a trusted job as a cleaner and is doing the best he can."
Singh admitted sexual assault, possession of a bladed article in a public place and breaching a suspended sentence order. Appearing via video link to HMP Liverpool, he was jailed for two years and told to sign the sex offenders' register for seven years.
Sentencing, Judge Garrett Byrne said of the weapon: "It is quite a frightening looking item. There was a risk of serious disorder. You have previous convictions for exactly the same type of offence."
The judge added of Singh's suspended sentence: "My view is that you have paid it lip service but no more. You have not made serious attempts to stop drinking, which is the underlying problem to all of this offending."
Judge Byrne finally said of the sexual assault: "You were out in the early hours, clearly in drink. You thought that you were entitled to slap her on the backside.
"She was in shock, distressed and, no doubt, humiliated. The fact that it was committed in public in front of many people must have added to her humiliation."
