Woman calls out Home Bargains over 'mistake' with Christmas item
A woman has issued a warning to fellow shoppers on social media after spotting a problem with a Christmas item she bought from Home Bargains. Flavia Mendes (@Flaviamendes.x) pointed out the error on TikTok so others didn't make the same mistake as her.
Flavia Mendes showed two drink bottles adorned with festive characters that she had hoped to include in a Christmas hamper for her child, alongside other festive goodies. The milk bottle-style glasses came in green and red.
The green one featured a happy little elf declaring: "I'm on the nice list". However, the red-topped bottle featuring Santa had a problem people couldn't ignore once it was pointed out.

The Santa-themed item was supposed to say "Jingle All the Way" but was misspelt "Jinlge". She informed her followers of the typo so they wouldn't buy it without realising first like she did.
Amidst the reactions, comments such as "Oh no" and "It took me a few watches as well!" popped up. Adding humour to the situation, Flavia captioned her TikTok post: "Jinlge all the way, I guess! Took me a while to even notice this!"
It turns out the same set of misprinted cups are being sold online on Amazon as a bundle for £9.90, reports the Mirror. The same typo appears on mason jar-style cups too which are being sold in both Home Bargains and on Amazon.
This isn't Home Bargains' first spelling slip-up. Previously, some customers noticed an issue with a metal sign priced at £3.
The Winter Charm Metal Standing Street Sign, which pointed the way to Santa's Workshop and the Elves Village, was 'spoiled' by a glaring error. In a significant oversight, the most prominent part of the North Pole sign was missing a letter, embarrassingly reading: "Welcome to th North Pole".
Amazon and Home Bargains were approached for comment. Home Bargains did not wish to issue a statement and Amazon did not immediately respond.
