A woman’s van ended up at the bottom of a river after jumping out due to a spider on her lap.

The eight-legged creature crawled on to her while she was driving in Georgia, US.

The woman was backing her Kia van down the Neel’s Landing boat launch at the time of the incident, so she could place her kayak into the river.

But when she noticed the spider, the woman jumped from the van in fear while it was still moving.
