Woman charged after car smashed into primary school classroom
A woman has been charged after a car crashed into a classroom earlier this year. Emergency services surrounded Beacon Church of England Primary School on Heyworth Street in Everton on Monday, April 22 after a car crashed into a classroom understood to be used by nursery aged pupils.
Parents told the ECHO the car ploughed through the building at 8.30am, just 10 minutes before the school opened for the day. No children were in the area at the time of the crash.
Today Merseyside Police confirmed a 40-year-old has been charged. Joanne Murray, 40, of Queens Drive, Walton, was charged with failing to provide specimen for analysis; and dangerous driving. Murray was due to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court today, Friday November 29.
