Woman and child fighting for life after South West bus crash
A woman and child are fighting for their lives after a major bus crash. The collision involved a silver Vauxhall Astra and a double decker school bus on the B3296 Meaver Road in Mullion, Cornwall.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 8.40am today (Monday, October 14) following reports of the crash. The two occupants of the Vauxhall - a woman in her 30s and a young boy - sustained life-threatening injuries. Their next of kin have been made aware.
Four children who were on the school bus suffered minor injuries and have been treated for their wounds. Meaver Road remains closed in both directions while crash investigation continues.

Officers from the Devon and Cornwall Police Roads Policing Team have thanked the public for their patience while investigations took place. The force is now appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage of the crash.
Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We are working closely with the school to make sure that suitable support is in place for the children involved.
"Anyone with any relevant information or dashcam footage which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police via the force website or by calling 101, quoting 50240260109."
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: "At around 8.45am today (Monday 14 October), HM Coastguard was made aware of an incident involving multiple vehicles at Mullion, Cornwall.
"Coastguard Rescue Teams from Falmouth, Mullion, Porthoustock were called, alongside HM Coastguard rescue helicopters from St Athan and Newquay. South Western Ambulance Service and Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service were also on scene.
"A casualty was taken to hospital by helicopter, and two casualties were transferred to hospital via ambulance."
