A woman and a child were rushed to hospital after they were hit by a car in Stechford - which may have links to previous shooting and arson attacks. Police said the driver mounted pavement in Albert Road when hitting the pair, aged 14 and 23.

The incident happened at around 8pm last night, February 1. The young girl and woman both suffered leg injuries which were not believed to be life-changing.

Detectives were today exploring possible links between this incident and other attacks in the same street. We previously reported how a man and a teenager were arrested after a home in Albert Road was shot at on December 7.
