Woman dies in A30 crash
A woman has died following a crash on the A30 near Launceston this morning (November 7), with the road expected to remain closed into this evening as accident investigation work is carried out.
The collision, involving two vehicles on the westbound carriageway at the Plusha junction, was first reported to Devon and Cornwall Police at 8.25am, with the road being closed in both directions shortly afterwards.
Police have now confirmed that a woman was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining life-threatening injuries. Her next of kin have been informed.

A police spokesperson said: "Emergency services were called at 8.25am to the Plusha junction near Launceston, following a report of a two-car collision on the westbound carriageway. A woman sustained life-threatening injuries and despite medical treatment, was confirmed deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
"There are no other reports of injuries at this time and emergency services remain at the scene to carry out enquiries. The road is currently closed and Highways England are on the scene putting closures and diversions in place.
"We are aware of local traffic congestion and drivers are asked not to follow satnavs, but to follow the diversion signs. Anyone with information which may assist our enquiries is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 143 of 7/11/24."
