Woman dies after medical incident in Plymouth

A woman has died after suffering a serious medical episode in Plymouth. Paramedics and police officers rushed to a petrol station on Forder Valley Road at around 7.45am today, Tuesday, September 10, following reports of a medical emergency.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing numerous police officers and emergency services vehicles at the scene earlier this morning. One eyewitness told PlymouthLive that the Esso petrol station had been cordoned off by police.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was given emergency treatment but is confirmed to have died at the scene, Devon and Cornwall Police said. Her next of kin have been informed.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called the Forder Valley Road at a 7.45am today where the ambulance service were responding to suspected medical episode.

"A woman in her 30s was given emergency treatment but was confirmed deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
