Detective Constable Louise Hough, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “While officers who attended the scene spoke to several witnesses, we’re now investigating a fatal collision and I’m appealing for anyone who has not yet contacted police to do so.

"From our inquiries carried out since the incident occurred, we know there was a tractor in the area which was being used to cut a hedge at the side of the road. I would like to speak to the driver as a matter of urgency.

I’m also keen to speak to anyone with a dashcam or anyone who saw the collision occur. If you saw any of the vehicles involved prior to it happening, then you may also be able to help.

"Anything you’re able to tell us could assist our investigation.” Anyone with information is urged to pass it on by visiting the force’s website and quoting reference 24*530901. Alternatively you call 101.
