Woman dies of serious injuries in Westward Ho!

A woman found with serious injuries in Westward Ho! has died. Emergency services rushed to Atlantic Way this morning (Friday, September 20) when paramedics reported to police a person had sustained serious injuries.

The South West Ambulance Service informed Devon and Cornwall Police of the incident at around 7.50am today. A spokesperson for the police force has since confirmed a woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death is not believed to be suspicious, police have said, and her next of kin have been informed. A file will be prepared for the coroner.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 7.50am today, Friday 20 September, following a report made to the ambulance service in relation to a patient located with serious injuries in Atlantic Way, Westward Ho!.

"Sadly, a woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin has been made aware.

"The death is not believed to be suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
