Woman dies in tragic crash between car and lorry on Scots road
A woman has tragically died in crash between a car and an articulated lorry on a major Scots road.
Emergency crews raced out to the A75 between Annan and Eastriggs this morning around 9.30am this morning following a horror smash between a black Ford KA and an articulated lorry.
The driver of the car, a 36-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Road cops shut down the route as they launched a probe into the crash. According to Traffic Scotland the road remained closed at 5.02pm.

Sergeant Colin Ramage said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died at this difficult time. Officers will be supporting them through the investigation.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, and who has not already spoken to officers, to get in touch.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was driving in this area around that time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist us to contact us.”
