Woman dog walker attacked by member of masked moped gang as police launch appeal
A woman dog walker was attacked by a member of a masked moped gang. Police launched an appeal after the horror incident in Cannock.
Staffordshire Police said a woman aged in her 30s, suffered concussion and damage to her teeth and nose after being punched to the floor. Officers were called to car park on Lichfield Road at 5.10pm on Thursday, January 16.
The victim reported she had spoken to a group of young men, on a red and white moped with learner plates on, before one of the group had attacked her. The group had their faces covered and had been riding the moped up and down a nearby reservoir path in Mill Green Nature Reserve before the assault happened, police said.

The suspect was described as being aged around 20, about 5ft 10in tall and wearing dark clothing, glasses and a hood or woolly hat. The man then entered a small dark-coloured car with no lights on and left the scene.
Police were reviewing CCTV footage of the area at the time and urged anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant dashcam footage to get in touch with them.
