Woman Falls to Knees as Dozens Rescued From Boat Off Libya

A migrant rescue team in the Mediterranean took 48 people from a wooden boat in distress about 100 kilometers off the coast of Libya on Tuesday, Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) said.

Young children and a newborn were among the survivors taken on board the Ocean Viking vessel, which the MSF said was going to investigate another possible case afterward.

The Ocean Viking is run by both MSF and the SOS Mediterranee, a maritime rescue charity.
