Woman flown to hospital with serious injuries following Flint Mountain minibus crash
A woman has been airlifted to hospital and three others hurt after a minibus crash in Flintshire. The single-vehicle crash happened in Flint Mountain, with police, firefighters, ambulance crews and the Wales Air Ambulance called to the scene.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. The woman was flown to the Royal Stoke University Hospital, which has a specialist trauma unit.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 12.20pm today (Tuesday, September 17th) we were called to a single-vehicle collision involving a minibus in Flint.

"Emergency services attended the scene near the Coach and Horses on Northop Road, Flint Mountain, where a woman was airlifted to Stoke Hospital with serious injuries. The road remains closed whilst the vehicle recovery takes place."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called shortly after midday today to a road traffic collision on Flint Mountain. We sent an operations manager, three emergency ambulances, two Cymru High Acuity Response Unit paramedics and an advanced paramedic practitioner to the scene.
"Advanced critical care support was delivered by the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service in a Wales Air Ambulance charity helicopter. Four patients were taken to hospital.”
A Wales Air Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "I can confirm that the Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident in that region today. Our Welshpool-based team were allocated at 12:16pm and attended by air. We arrived at the scene at 12:46pm. Our involvement concluded at 2:30pm.”
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said a crew from Deeside was called at 12.17pm to the collision. Firefighters helped release one person trapped in the vehicle.
