Woman found dead in north London after falling from block of flats

A woman has died after falling from height from a block of flats in north London.

Police said they had attended the flat in Talbot House, Finsbury Park around 2am on Tuesday to “carry out an arrest enquiry”.

The enquiry was in relation to a woman who was wanted for failing to appear at court, said police. Officers knocked on the door of the address but there was no response.

As they left the building, the body of a woman was found outside, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers said they believed she died as a result of a fall from height.

Work continues to identify and inform her next of kin. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

The Met said it had informed its Directorate of Professional Standards of the incident.
