Woman found dead at Plymouth hotel

A woman was found dead in a Plymouth hotel, an inquest has heard. Area coroner Alison Longhorn opened the inquest into the passing of 41-year-old Faye Miles during a short public hearing on June 3 at Devon Coroner's Court.

Ms Longhorn said Faye was born in Cornwall and was living at the Chester House hotel in Stuart Road, Plymouth at the time of her passing on January 26 this year.

She said that Faye had been found unresponsive on her bed in her room on the afternoon of that day. Paramedics from the South Western Ambulance Service were called but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The inquest was told there were no suspicious circumstances and the medical cause of death was given as drug misuse.

The hearing was adjourned and a full inquest will take place in due course.
