A woman has revealed how she gets paid - to walk her own dog. Robyn Mort, 25, has been on a mission to pay off £10,000 of her student loan this year.

One of the ways she has been saving to squirrel away money is by getting paid to walk her dog - Frank, a chocolate Labrador, everyday. She uses an app called Biscuit to earn rewards which works out as a £10 voucher every six to seven weeks.

Robyn, an HR advisor, said: "I walk Frank for an hour a day - usually two walks that are 30 minutes each in my lunch hour and after work. So far I’ve received 835 biscuits so only a few walks away from a £10 M&S voucher.

"I’m at the start of my journey to reaching £10,000 so I’ve got £9,300 still to hustle."

Robyn started side hustling in July, 2024 to earn enough to pay off some of her student loan this year. She has already earned £700 from side hustles such as product testing and selling clothes on Vinted.

Robyn said: "I was following people who are doing the same thing as me and their own side hustling missions inspired me. I am always trying to save money for future houses and cars but I am aiming to hit my £10,000 goal.

"My goal is to reach my £10,000 goal by July next year and I reckon if I do these side hustles more frequently I can hit my target."

Robyn found out about the Biscuit app, after a stranger recommended it to her in Costa after they spotting her dog, Frank. The app uses a dogs micro chip number to work out how many times you need to take the dog out for a walk, which then earns you rewards.

She has only been using the app for a week but says she will use it "forever". The rewards add up so you can get a voucher to use in shops or it can give you an opportunity to cash out.

Robyn needs 750 biscuits to earn a Costa voucher and 1,060 biscuits to earn an £10 M&S voucher. Robyn gets 25 biscuits a day just by walking her dog and says you can earn more rewards by looking after your dog - from worming to weighing your dog and other health checks.

The app will tell you how long to walk your dog for and for Robyn's Labrador it is an hour a day.

Robyn said: "Once I’ve reached my goal I’ll continue to side hustle for other things like holidays or a future home. I’ll continue to use Biscuit forever, alongside other apps that bring in extra income."
