Woman in her 20s attacked on way home from work in Blackpool

A woman in her 20s was attacked walking home on her way from work in Blackpool.

Police are appealing for information for the attempted robbery that happened on November 24 at approximately 5pm.

Two offenders tried to snatch her rucksack causing her to fall to the floor outside the Co-op funeral service on Bispham Road.

The offenders are described as a young white woman wearing a purple jacket and a white man around 30 years old, slim build, tall, short brown hair wearing gloves and a black jacket.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We are appealing for information after an attempted robbery in Blackpool.

"The victim, a woman in her 20s, was walking home from work when she was attacked outside the Co-op funeral service on Bispham Road.

"She suffered some minor injuries but managed to make off and nothing was stolen."
