Police investigating 'serious assault' in Derbyshire town
Police are investigating a 'serious assault' where three people have been injured. Officers were called to Nottingham Road, Alfreton, at just after 11.40pm on Friday, September 20.
A woman in her 20s suffered serious facial injuries following the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment. Two other people, a man in his 20s and and a woman in her 30s, were also assaulted. Their injuries are not serious or life-threatening.
As a result Derbyshire Police closed the road between Alma Street and High Street and trentbarton had to redirect its buses. Derbyshire Police say officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any CCTV or dashcam footage. Anyone who think they have information to help with the investigation is asked to contact Derbyshire Constabulary, quoting the reference 24*564112.
