Woman killed and man airlifted to Queen Elizabeth hospital after crash
A woman was tragically killed and a man was airlifted to hospital after a crash in Worcestershire. West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the B4204, in Clifton on Teme, just before 11am today, Tuesday, September 17.
Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and the Midlands Air Ambulance, from Strensham, were sent to the scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts of medics, a woman, in her 70s and a passenger in the car, died at the scene.
The driver, a man in his 70s, suffered serious injuries and he was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews discovered a car that had left the road and come to rest in a field, on its side. There were two patients.
"One of whom, a woman, was found to be in a critical condition. Ambulance staff administered advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
“The second patient, a man, was cut free from the car by the fire service. He was treated for serious injuries before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.”
West Mercia Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision this morning (17 September). The collision happened around 11am on the B4204 just outside Clifton Upon Teme when a blue Mazda collided with a tree.
"The driver of the car, a man in his 70s, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries. The passenger, a woman in her 70s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
