Woman lost 6st after making one 'easy diet change' without giving up favourite foods
A 31-year-old woman from Australia has said she lost a huge 6st (40kg) after years of being unable to shift any weight despite her best efforts.
Leecie Stafford made one easy change to her diet that would soon see her kickstart her weight loss journey,
Despite having had a healthy lifestyle previously, Leecie wanted to make a change after she had stayed at the same weight for some time, and that is when she sought the advice from an online coach, reports Surrey Live.
Explaining the one change she made after speaking to the coach, Leecie explained: "The biggest change for me was learning about a calorie deficit and being consistent with it. I made sure I stayed in a deficit but still allowed myself flexibility. I didn’t cut out any foods —I just made things fit within my daily goals."

Before making the change to her eating habits, she had led an active life, with six visits to the gym each week, but since starting her new eating regime she has halved her amount of visits and has still seen continued success in her weight loss plan.
Being sure to maintain her calorie deficit, she was also eager not to stop herself from eating any of her favourite foods: "I never wanted to feel deprived or like I couldn’t have something," so if she did find that she want to treat herself, she would always make sure that it fell in with her calorie allowance.
"Jelly lite became my saviour! If I wanted a sweet treat, I’d make sure I had some prepped and ready to go," she added.
Keen to count her daily calorie intake, she said that it doesn't get in the way of socialising with others: "I’d go out with friends, enjoy a meal, and order what I wanted within reason. I never wanted my journey to feel like a punishment. Now, I think about what I eat daily, but I’m not obsessed with it. If I go off track a little, it’s not the end of the world."
Another crucial part of her diet was to plan at the start of each week what she was going to eat, but she wasn't strict: "My meal plan wasn’t rigid. I had a list of proteins, carbs, and fats, and I’d mix and match throughout the week,"
Her message to anyone else looking to lose weight, she said: "Just start. Even if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing, just begin. Learn the basics, like understanding a calorie deficit, and be patient with yourself. If you’re consistent, the results will come."
