Woman named after body recovered from Charlestown harbour
A woman has been named after a body was recovered from a harbour in Cornwall. Police responded to reports of a body found at Charlestown Harbour on Saturday, January 11.
Following the incident, Devon and Cornwall Police was urging members of the public to report any footage circulating social media from around the time of the incident.
An inquest has now formally been opened into the death of the woman which has confirmed the deceased was Julie Marie King, from Par, near St Austell. The 59-year-old's death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said at the time: "Police were called on the morning of Thursday 11 January to reports of a body being located at Charlestown Harbour.
"Sadly, the woman, was confirmed deceased and her next of kin have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

St Austell Police added: "Police were called this morning to reports of a female body being located at Charlestown harbour. Sadly, it was confirmed the female was deceased and the female’s next of kin have been informed.
"Police are aware of some footage circulating on social media that would cause further upset and distress to the female’s family and friends.
"The police ask that the public report the footage that has been shared to the relevant social media platform so that it can be removed. The police would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding."
Her death is among several other unexplained deaths in Cornwall in recent weeks, all of which will be subject to individual inquests in the coming months or can sometimes take years.
They include the death of John Trevena, a 50-year-old from Looe who was found dead in West Looe Cemetery on January 4 and the death of Pavel Kupka, 51, from the Isles of Scilly, who died on December 29.
