Woman Rescued After Building Fire in Croydon, London

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a “severe blaze” in a ground-floor launderette at an apartment block in Croydon, London, on July 2, authorities said.

Firefighters reported that they had rescued one woman from the rear of the building, while a further two adults and one child left the property before emergency services arrived.

The blaze destroyed the ground-floor shop and damaged parts of the first and second floors. The cause of the fire was under investigation at the time of writing.
