Woman rushed to hospital after 'substance' thrown in face in north London
A woman has been taken to hospital after an unknown substance was thrown in her face in north London on Thursday morning.
The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to Kentish Town Road just before 7am to reports that a substance had been thrown at a woman.
In a statement, the force said a woman in her 30s had suffered injuries after a substance was thrown at her.
Officers were called to #KentishTown Road a little before 0700hrs this morning after a substance was reported to have been thrown at a woman.
LAS were called & she has been taken to hospital - we await an update on her condition.

“The victim’s skin was doused with water at the scene,” the statement said. “The injured woman was taken to a central London hospital. We await an update on her condition, however her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.”
Police said the substance is not believe to have been acid but they are awaiting confirmation.

Footage of the scene showed a heavy emergency services presence, including police vehicles and a fire engine.
Twitter user ‘the dapper’ shared a video saying the road was closed off and traffic was at a standstill.

Police said officers from Camden are investigating the incident.
No arrests have been made so far and enquiries continue, the force said.
