Woman seriously injured after being hit by car
A woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car. Emergency services were called to Orrell Road in Wigan at around 3pm on Wednesday, November 27.
The woman sustained injuries to both her legs and head, Greater Manchester Police said. Her condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
Motorists in the area reported traffic was "gridlocked" while emergency services dealt with the incident. The road remains closed while accident investigation work takes place from the M58 to B5206 Moor Road, according to traffic monitoring site Inrix. A cordon is in place outside The Mount pub.
