Woman Shot During Counter-Terror Raid on London Home

Armed officers shot one woman and arrested four others in a counter-terrorism raid on a home along Harlesden Road in London on April 27, according to Metropolitan Police.

The Metropolitan Police said in a statement that the woman was the subject of a counter-terrorism investigation and was being held under guard at hospital, but had not been arrested due to her condition.

Four others were arrested in the raid on suspicion of the “commission, preparation and instigation of terrorist acts”. The Met said: “The first, a 20-year-old man was arrested near to the address. A male aged 16 and woman aged 20 were arrested at the address. A 43-year-old woman was arrested in Kent a short while later.”

The Met Police said the incident was not connected to an arrest in Whitehall earlier in the day, as some social media users had speculated.
