Woman 'shot in the head and killed' by Israel soldiers at pro-Palestine protest in Gaza
An American woman has reportedly been 'shot in the head and killed' by Israeli soldiers at a pro-Palestine protest in Gaza.
Doctors said the 26-year-old American woman was tragically shot and killed in the West Bank on Friday.
Medical official Dr Ward Basalat said she was shot in the head in the northern region of the Palestinian territory. She was rushed to hospital, however was pronounced dead, according to Dr. Fouad Naffa, the head of the hospital.

Witnesses claim the shot was fired by a member of Israeli troops during a pro-Palestine demonstration, according to Palestinian media. The Israeli military has yet to comment on the shooting, which could have drastic repercussions for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reports the Mirror.
The woman was believed to have been shot while attending the protest against settlement expansion in the Palestinian town of Beita, north of Ramallah in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. The protests happen regularly and have grown violent in the past.
A month ago, American citizen Amado Sison was shot in the leg by Israeli forces, he said, as he tried to flee tear gas and live fire. Basalat, an emergency room doctor at the hospital, said he treated her for a gunshot wound to the head and that she died shortly after arrival.
