A woman was taken to hospital after a crash between a lorry and a car on a busy Cambridgeshire road. The A1139 Frank Perkins Parkway Southbound was closed this morning (Tuesday, January 28) after the crash.

Emergency services attended at around 11:25am. One woman was taken to Peterborough City Hospital for further assessment. The road reopened at around 2:10pm.

An East of England Ambulance spokesperson said: "We were called just after 11.25am to a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a car on the Frank Perkins Parkway in Peterborough. Two ambulances were sent to the scene. One patient, an adult woman, was transported to Peterborough City Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
