Woman taken to hospital after police called to Durham train station
A woman has been taken to hospital after police were called to an incident at Durham Railway station this afternoon.
ChronicleLive understands that some rail services were delayed at around 3pm due to concerns for a member of the public on the platform. Durham Constabulary confirmed that officers had responded to reports of concern for the welfare of a woman in the area.
Thankfully, the woman was brought to safety and has been taken to hospital.

A Durham Constabulary spokesperson said: "Officers were called at 3pm today (September 19) to reports of concerns for the welfare of a woman at Durham Railway station.
"Thankfully, the woman was brought to safety and has been taken to hospital."
