Woman 'Tossed Around' Inside House Lifted From Its Foundation During Suspected Tornado

A woman was “tossed around” inside a house that was ripped from its foundation as a suspected tornado hit Mardela Springs, Maryland, on August 4, according to a reporter who spoke to a fire chief.

This footage, by WBOC reporter Amy Lu, shows the house off its foundations, and crews clearing debris nearby. She also shot video of heavy rain from Tropical Storm Isaias in Cambridge.

“Fire chief says the woman inside was tossed around while [a tornado] lifted her home off its foundation,” Lu wrote on Twitter.
