Woman trapped in vehicle after crash closes road in Ottery St Mary

A woman was trapped in a vehicle after a crash in Ottery St Mary this morning (Monday, October 28). Emergency services were called to the three-vehicle collision in Exeter Road at about 11.25am.

The road was shut in both directions as a woman was rescued from one of the vehicles involved. Police said she was rushed to hospital but the extent of her injuries are not yet known.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at around 11.25am on Monday 28 October following reports of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on Exeter Road, Ottery St Mary.

"The fire and ambulance services also attended and a road closure was put in place. A woman was extracted from one of the vehicles and taken to hospital. The extent of her injuries is not yet known."
