Woman yells 'get away from me' after being 'chased' down street by 'a doughnut'

A woman who had just had her nails done found herself running down the street minutes later being chased by a human-sized doughnut.

Samantha Meyer was videoing herself on Seel Street when she was suddenly pursued by someone dressed as a large, pink, sprinkled doughnut. In the video, which was posted on TikTok the woman can be heard saying 'I've just had my nails done, so I will be there in like 10 minutes I think...". However her voice then trails off when, out the corner of her eye, she sees a yellow and pink 'doughnut' dancing on the pavement.

The woman can then be heard asking: "What the f*** is this guy doing? What the f***?" She then begins to laugh and run down the street while yelling: "Get away from me!"

However all is not as harrowing as it seems. The ECHO understands the large doughnut is part of a publicity stunt to advertise 'Kandi Mondays' at The Arts Club. The club, on Seel Street, announced its 'Kandi Mondays' would be launching on September 16, on its Instagram account. On its post The Arts Club advertises a 'students paradise' including three rooms of party tunes to choose from as well as thousands of free sweets and doughnuts. Also 'Kandi' man, often makes an appearance at the party.

After Samantha posted the footage of her ordeal online, the Arts Club offered her a free drink, in what appears to be a gesture of good faith. Posting online the club said: "We think for your trauma and troubles we owe you a drink to calm those nerves. Come see us this Monday night and your first drink is on us, don’t worry we will make sure it’s a double."
