Woman's body found in river in Berkshire

A woman's body has been found and recovered from the river in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Her body was discovered at Boulters Lock after police received a report of a body in the water at 7.15am on Monday.

Thames Valley Police are working to identify a next of kin as well as establish the cause of death, which is is currently being treated as unexplained.

Formal identification is yet to take place.

Boulters Lock and Cookham Lock are both closed and police are asking that members of the public to avoid the area.
