A woman's body was found in the River Mersey, but police still don't know who she is
The mystery surrounding the identity of a woman whose body was found in the River Mersey at Chorlton Water Park six months ago remains unsolved. The petite woman, who was wearing a lime-green Primark crop top and New Look jeans, was discovered in the beauty spot in Greater Manchester in March.
Despite numerous public appeals for information, her identity is still unknown. A member of the public first alerted emergency services to the discovery at around 11.10am on Thursday, March 21.
The woman, 156cm tall with a slim build and medium-length dark brown hair, was retrieved from the water. However, few details about her are known even months later. No one has come forward to identify her or link her to a missing person case despite police appeals, suggesting she may be from overseas, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Police have said that despite extensive investigative work including specialist examinations, DNA testing, and reviews of missing persons records, her identity remains a mystery. She was also wearing size eight, New Look branded Jenna jeans and green non-slip socks but had no identifiable items in her pockets or visible jewellery.
Greater Manchester Police have admitted that they're still investigating after a body was found in water, with key details about her identity and how she died remaining unclear. Detective Inspector Louise Edwards of GMP's Major Investigation Team said: "We are determined to reunite this woman with her family and friends and establish the cause of her death. I would urge anyone with information to please come forward."
