Woman's terrifying encounter with 'abusive and threatening' man in Honley
A woman was left terrified after an encounter with an 'abusive and threatening man' in Honley, near Holmfirth.
The woman reported an incident to West Yorkshire Police and shared what happened to her on social media in the hope that someone else may have seen something, or had a similar experience. The incident happened on the afternoon of Friday, November 8 in the vicinity of Honley Woods.
In the post, she said: "A man followed me in Honley Woods yesterday (Friday) afternoon. He was verbally abusive and threatening. He got too close so my dog barked at him and he kicked her. He kept trying to attack me and my dog. Then he started filming me.

"I am a young single female and lucky that my mum was waiting in the car...I was really frightened and shaken up by this so please be careful."
She described the man as middle aged, with a grey beard, glasses, and a grey hat. She said the accent did not sound local. Her account of what happened was shared on a local Facebook group.
She described the location as "on the path adjacent to Wood Nook stables."
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police received a report of threatening behaviour in the vicinity of Wood Nook Lane, Honley, which is reported to have taken place between 3:45pm and 4:15pm on Friday (8/11). No suspect has been identified. "
