Women and Dogs Escape King Tide in Cannon Beach, Oregon

Two women and two dogs narrowly escaped a king tide in Cannon Beach, Oregon, on January 12, staying ahead of a huge log heading in their direction.

Footage taken by Drea Rose Frost shows two women running from the rapidly encroaching tide, trailed by a log. “Thought I’d peek around the corner of the Wayfarer and I could hear people screaming for these folks to run right before I got this video,” wrote Frost on her post. “Everyone (dogs included) made it out but LOOK at that giant log!”

According to the National Ocean Service, a king tide is an exceptionally high tide. Credit: Drea Rose Frost via Storyful
