Women sought after shop worker 'held around the throat'

Police believe the women may have information that could assist them

A shop worker was "held around the throat" in a Leicestershire store assault. Images of three women police want to trace have been released as part of the investigation

The assault happened at a store on Euro Business Park, in Market Harborough, at around 9pm on Saturday, July 27, Leicestershire Police said today (Friday, September 13).

A female staff member in her 20s was grabbed by the throat while attempting to prevent a theft, leaving her with scratches on her neck, a force spokesperson said. Police have not named the store in which the incident took place.

Officers are appealing for help to identify the three women in the CCTV image. Police said they might have information that could assist them in their inquiry. Anyone with information should call Leicestershire Police on 101, quoting reference 24*446414 or report information on the force's website.
