Love Island winner Dani Dyer shocked her army of fans last week when she announced via social media that she had split from her fellow Love Island champion Jack Fincham after just four months of dating.

In a now deleted Instagram post, the 22-year-old wrote on December 5: “Jack and I have sadly decided to part ways. It’s been an incredible six months, and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but sadly we’ve come to the realisation that it’s not meant to be long term. We both plan to stay friends. I hope you’ll all understand.”

But just days later it appear almost certain that Fincham is not on friendly terms with Danny Dyer’s daughter anymore. The Mail Online recorded him speaking to his friends in an Essex pub slating his ex and hinting that she’s more interested in publicity than him.

In the conversation 27-year-old Fincham claims that ‘I won the show not her’ because he was ‘the funny one’ and seems to critcise his ex for selling products on Instagram.

“I won that show not her, I was the funniest one on it! Haha, I was a laugh though innit,” he reportedly told his friend.

The recording also includes a friend of Fincham’s saying that Love Island couples often break up for ‘publicity’ to which Fincham replies: “I’m not like that though – that’s her.”

After his friend applauded him for staying silent on the split on Instagram and not using it as a chance to sell products, Fincham went on to say he was just ‘a normal geezer.’

“Have you seen me posting on Instagram? ‘Buy this, buy that?’ I’m not like that. I’m a normal geezer mate.”

Fincham has not formerly denied that it is him in the recording. His representative stated to the Mail Online:

“It’s been an incredibly difficult and emotional time for Jack and it’s really sad that at this time someone decides to covertly record him trying to have a quiet conversation with a friend.”

The couple’s split has sent the future of several Love Island spin-offs into uncertainty. The couple are still in the midst of filming their upcoming reality show Jack And Dani: Life After Love Island which was supposedly set to show them travelling internationally and planning a longterm future together.

A Love Island Christmas Reunion has also been filmed and a teaser for the special even shows the couple as still very much in love. The teaser was unfortunately released by ITV2 the same day that Dyer announced the couple’s split.
