Wonder Woman has a licence to kill in new trailer

With all of the confusion over the future of James Bond swirling, we have quite a simple suggestion: Make Wonder Woman the next 007!

After all, she smashes and dashes her way across London and whacks plenty of baddies in a brand new trailer released by star Gal Gadot on her Twitter account on Thursday (April 27).

The action-packed clip sees Wonder Woman on the front lines in World War I, and also explains how she took on the secret identity of Diana Prince. We won't spoil it for you - watch the trailer!

Warner Bros' latest entry into its DC Extended Universe ostensibly serves as an origin story for the Amazonian Princess, although exactly which origin story is still up for debate.

What we do know is that Diana makes the journey to the mainland with US air force captain Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) in hopes of finding and slaying the god of war Ares in the trenches of Germany.

Wonder Woman will finally debut on the big screen first in the UK on Thursday, June 1 and then arrive on US screens on Friday, June 2.

Only a few months later, Gal Gadot will be standing side-by-side with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher for the long-awaited Justice League movie on November 17.
