WORCESTER food bank has been boosted by a charitable donation from developer Taylor Wimpey.

Taylor Wimpey's has donated £500 to enable the most vulnerable people in the Worcester area to access food products and meals over the winter months.

Worcester Food Bank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat hunger and poverty across the UK.

Angie Prince, from Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, said: “We are continually looking for ways in which we can make positive contributions towards the communities in which we build and Worcester Food Bank is an extremely important cause, helping vulnerable people day in and day out.

"With the rising cost of living putting a strain on local food banks and charities, we are really pleased to be able to lend a helping hand.”

The food bank is situated in Lowesmoor Wharf.
