World on Fire fans shocked by twist as Harry’s actions are revealed in episode 3
Warning: this story contains spoilers for World On Fire episode 3
BBC One's WWII drama World on Fire returned tonight (October 13) with an emotive and action-packed third episode.
And while a plethora of acting heavyweights, including Helen Hunt and Sean Bean, flexed their chops in the backdrop of war, it was Harry (Johan Hauer-King) who had viewers reeling from his two-timing actions.
At this point, Harry is now a second lieutenant, and is in France with the BEF alongside his sergeant Stan. But while there, who should arrive but his former lover Lois (Julia Brown) – and she’s got some big news.
Turns out, she’s pregnant with his child.
This was as much of a shock to Harry as it was to audiences back at home, as the character had only recently married Polish waitress Kasia (Zofia Wichlacz) in a bid to get her out of Warsaw as Nazi fighters closed in.
Here are some of the reactions offered by viewers on Twitter:
Intrigued wanting to know which one Harry will end up with whilst at the same time thinking he deserves neither of them. #worldonfire

One viewer even pointed out Blake Harrison’s Stan (aka Neil from The Inbetweeners) said it how it is:

What's more, now that Robina (Lesley Manville) knows the truth about Harry’s predicament, it looks like it’s only a matter of time before these two worlds inevitably collide.
World on Fire resumes next Sunday (October 20) at 9pm on BBC One.
