World Food Programme Staff Assist Mozambique Locals Affected by Post-Cyclone Flooding

Staff with the United Nations’ World Food Programme (WFP) transported food and water to Mozambique locals affected by the flooding caused by Cyclone Idai on March 19.

This footage shows a glimpse at the destroyed houses in the Mozambique city of Beira, as well as WFP staff commenting on the crisis affecting the region.

According to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the cyclone destroyed communication lines and roads in Beira, with a death toll estimated to be over 1,000 people. Credit: World Food Programme via Storyful
