'World’s healthiest fish' scores 89 out of 100 and keeps you full for longer

We all know fish is among the healthiest foods you can consume — it's usually high in protein, filled with omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins. But there's reportedly one fish that trumps all in terms of its nutritional benefits.

Yep, this fish is the king of all fishes when it comes to health, according to BBC's list of world's most nutritious foods. Ocean perch fish has come in at number three on a list of the most nutritious foods you can eat, scoring 89 out of 100.

100g of the fish has just 79 calories but around 20 grams of protein, according to Facts.net. The deep-water fish is also known as rockfish and is low in saturated fats. And it doesn't stop there - the fish is an excellent source of:

Other healthy fishes that are well-known for their health benefits include salmon, which is lauded for its omega-3 fatty acid, which is vital as the body is unable to produce it on its own.

Jennifer Di Noia, an associate professor of sociology at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey, clarified: "Higher-ranking foods provide more nutrients per calories."
