Martin Lewis warns Barclaycard ‘under radar change’ could ‘double’ debt

Martin Lewis has warned a Barclaycard “under radar change” could “double” your debt. Barclaycard will be reducing minimum monthly credit card repayments, meaning people will be able to pay back less per month, from 22 July. Mr Lewis calculated that under the changes, a person paying the minimum balance of a £1,000 debt would take 19 years and three months to pay back instead of nine years and eight months and would rack up £1,655 in interest instead of £699.

I.S.S., review: In space, no one can hear you yawn

The cupola of the International Space Station affords a humbling window on Earth – a swirling utopia free of borders when gazed at from the heavens. Signs advising arriving visitors of the new requirement for a test phase of 29 days through July have been erected outside the main train station and other points of arrival. Harvey Weinstein's 2020 rape conviction in landmark #MeToo case overturned by New York appeals court

It found the judge at the landmark #MeToo trial prejudiced the ex-movie mogul with improper rulings, including a decision to let women testify about allegations that were not part of the case. The state Court of Appeals ruling reopens a painful chapter in America's reckoning with sexual misconduct by powerful figures - an era that began in 2017 with a flood of allegations against Weinstein.

Feminism isn’t much use when it leaves midlife women single and childless

I increasingly feel that feminism has failed my generation. It is a peculiarity of the West that it is divided into sets which differ profoundly in their beliefs. This state of affairs began with the Reformation and has grown more pronounced ever since. There were Protestants and Catholics who differed fundamentally not only on faith but on practical matters. It was among Protestant communities that feminism first emerged, and it is in Protestant countries such as America and Britain in which fe
